“The Cart House at the Roost was a perfect location for a getaway to the West. It was clean and cosy and had everything we needed for a stay while exploring the town of Westport and surrounds. The location was quiet, secure and secluded, yet very close to the shops, pubs and restaurants in Westport. It was very relaxing reading a book, having a coffee looking out at the ducks feeding on the river beside the house. Paul and Linda gave clear and timely communications on location, check-in and checkout and were responsive to our query.”

“I can’t say enough good things about The Roost in Westport! The location is ideal; in town, close to everything, and private. We rented the two stand-alone units as well. Everything was wonderful! The space was the perfect place for our extended family to gather, hang out and relax. It was a huge benefit that everyone had a private bath, and no one felt short-changed with their situation (rare in a place that accommodates so many). Everyone kept saying how wonderful it was, and it put all in a great mood. There were plenty of communal spaces to relax - multiple dining and living rooms - all lovely and comfortable. The patio, backyard and gardens add to the charm. I feel like I should stop bragging about how amazing this space is because it will become too popular, and we will have trouble booking it in the future! Ah, well. It’s the truth. I’m certain you will be thrilled with your stay. Enjoy!”

“We spent 14 days in Ireland and this was one of our favourite spots. Wished we had stayed there longer. The location is so lovely. You feel so secluded, nestled amongst a garden and green lawn. If it had been warmer would have loved sitting out on the patio. It was a quiet, restful spot in the city.
